Devils River Whiskey opened this years San Antonio Rodeo BBQ Cookoff with a welcoming embrace. Fans from all around the world attending the prestigious BBQ event were able to check out the John Wayne type booth to huge fan fair. Many fans ate some amazing brisket that eventually becoming a huge winner in the competition taking home the Grand Championship.
Devils River Whiskey had some beautiful women to give out samples of their drinks to excited fans. We were able to try four of their spirits that they had at the event. We did a quick review below, but will do a longer version when we do our taste test videos soon. For now, check out this small review of each drink below and get yourself to the your local place that have any one of these bottles. These will be a perfect gift for you or a loved one to enjoy on those days that you need to relax and enjoy the view.

Bourbon Whiskey
One of our favorite bourbons that started it all! When our team had our first taste of Devils river Bourbon Whiskey a few years ago, we were hooked. We mixed it with everything and in between. Bourbon Whiskey is filtered through limestone-water to create that unique taste. The scientists at Devils River doubled up on the rye and lowered the amount of corn used to create this unique drink.
Coffee Bourbon
You need that quick pick me up when you have “one of those days?” Well, Devils River Whiskey has you covered with their Coffee Bourbon. With the eye of the prize on the Vienna Roast, the scientists at Devils River found the best combination with the coffee beans and the bourbon to create a unique tasting drink. Your Monday should start off right with some Coffee Bourbon from Devils River.
Rye Whiskey
You get a bit of everything in this whiskey! You will taste so many different flavors that you will wonder if that ingredient was added in this whiskey. Survey says…most likely! In this Rye Whiskey, you will taste a hint of apple, vanilla, pepper and few other ingredients. My team and I couldn’t decide on other flavors we could taste, we just couldn’t stop taking sips of this fine whiskey. A big recommendation to try on the rocks.
Agave Bourbon
The newest flavor we tried at the San Antonio Rodeo BBQ Cookoff was the Agave Bourbon! We were a little shocked they had an Agave flavor, so you know we had to do a taste. What were left was empty glasses with speechless looks and of course, going back in the line to get more! This was a fantastic taste that will revolutionize bourbon drinkers out there. We felt we found our new drink that we will keep at After Dark Bar and have in a regular rotation. Want to know the taste?
